Cecil & Merl

Deborah Williamson

Cecil & Merl launched in 2012, named for Deborah's grandfather Merl and Chef Bryan Calvert's great-uncle Cecil, gentlemen who were dear to their hearts. Originally they planned to focus on selling cheesecakes from their Brooklyn restaurant james. Soon after, due to their passion for dining culture, cocktails and finding new ways to challenge themselves, they added a line of bitters and tote bags that celebrate simple beauty and design.

Their bitters are created by master bartender Justin Lane- Briggs right in their bar. Each product they make is an extension of their work at the restaurant and their passion for quality. Cecil & Merl bitters are handmade in Brooklyn with all-natural ingredients.
