NUTS & BOLTS is co-owned and run by Melinda Tracy and Lise Clancy. Melinda Tracy is a Brooklyn-based chef and a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. She has worn many hats in the food world, including restaurant chef, personal chef, corporate chef, caterer, and culinary instructor. The NUTS & BOLTS recipes came about as the result of a culinary challenge she gave herself: to make incredibly delicious granola that her gluten-free friends would eat and love. And, as always, they had to be healthy without tasting like health food!
Lise grew up in Norway where healthy, home-cooked food was an important part of her family. After meeting Melinda and tasting her granola, Lise left 20 years in the corporate world behind her and decided to redirect her finance and HR skills to something she was passionate about.
