Zukali Mexican Gourmet was born out of Cesar's passion for making food and salsas at cookouts with friends and family in his hometown of McKinney, Texas. One of the dishes he enjoyed preparing most was roasted jalapeños. He would fire roast jalapeños on the grill, and add lime juice and a dash of salt, these jalapeños were an instant hit.
Cesar then began experimenting with different spices until he perfected the recipe for Zukali's first product: Fire Roasted Jalapeños, marinated in a blend of tamari gluten free soy sauce, lime juice, and spices.
At Zukali, flavor is foremost. They believe in quality food toppings that are both authentic and distinctive. The peppers come from Monterrey, Mexico and Zukali usually works in very small batches, maybe 50 cases at a time. As a company they may be small, but they will definitely make a big impression on your palate!
